AFF – Advanced Fire Fighting

Training for shipboard personnel who will be responsible for leading the ship’s firefighting efforts and who need to undergo an update of their training.

The objective and purpose of the training

If you are part of the ship’s safety organization and belong to personnel on ships and offshore who have a position as fire chief, you need this training to obtain the associated certification.

The training gives you the opportunity to practice fire fighting as well as caring for someone in distress or injured on board.

Our course leader has extensive experience at sea and has good references in the subject areas and as an educator. Fire theory and practice are carried out by special experts in fire protection on board.

Training

Advanced Fire Fighting consists of the following parts:

Part A: Fire protection, theory
Part B: Practical deployment and management exercises

The training is carried out as a refresh course and as a combination course with Basic Safety and theoretical lessons are interspersed with discussions and group work as well as practical exercises.

Certificate

MariTerm AB  is approved by the Swedish Transport Agency for training in Advanced Fire Fighting.
