CCM – Crowd and Crisis Management

For masters, chief mates, technical managers, first engineer and other personnel with a direct responsibility for passengers in emergency situations.

The objective and purpose of the training

On all passenger and ro-ro/passenger ships that are allowed to carry more than 100 passengers, the master, chief mate, chief engineer, first engineer and other personnel with a direct responsibility for passengers in emergency situations must have a special authorization for Crisis Management. Personnel who must assist passengers in emergency situations must have a training in Crowd Management.

The objective with the crisis management training is, among other things, to be able to:

  • Organize the safe movement of passengers when embarking and disembarking
  • Organize emergency procedures on board
  • Optimize the use of available resources
  • Check the activities in case of emergencies
  • Check passengers and staff in emergency situations
  • Create and maintain effective communication

Training

MariTerm AB offers a training in Crowd and/or Crisis Management for masters, chief mates, technical managers, first engineer and other personnel with a direct responsibility for passengers in emergency situations. The training may be carried out as a full course or a refresh course. The training are given both as open public courses and in-house at shipping companies and ports. It is a 2 day training of which one of the days must be carried out on site.

Certificate

MariTerm AB  is approved by the Swedish Transport Agency for training in Crisis Management.
