Dangerous Goods is the generic term for substances and articles (e.g. petrol, chloric, acids and explosives) with dangerous properties not handled in a safe way during the transportation could harm humans, environment or property

The carriage of dangerous goods is regulated in the regulations ADR (road), RID (rail), ADN (internal waterways), IMDG Code (Sean) and IATA-DGR (Air). In addition to the international rules above also domestic provisions occurs for road and rail e.g. the Swedish rules named ADR-S and RID-S.
